Alys’s downward spiral begins instantly, and there seems to be no bottom. A heartbreaking and beautifully told story.
My Review:
Welcome to the worst day of your life. What starts out as a normal day ends in terrible tragedy. While in the library, Alys hears what is believed to be gunshots. During all the chaos she discovers that not only does she know the shooter, it is her own brother, who spares her life. This book tells the story through the eyes of the grieving family that not only lost a son and brother that everyone deems a monster. It shows how everyone deals with grief and loss differently. From losing your best friend to losing your boyfriend, Alys sometime wishes that she would have died too in the library that day. But she is alive and her parents are alive and they must figure out how to go on and live in the same town where they are deemed murderers!
